Board of Directors

Giorgio Behr is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Behr Bircher Cellpack BBC Group, which he founded and led as CEO until 2015, with various industrial activities.

He is Professor Emeritus of Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen HSG. Giorgio Behr was Vice Chairman and then Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saurer Group from 1995-2007, worked for Hilti AG from 1992-2018 (Board of Directors and member of Hilti Trust from 2008), and was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the ZF Group from 2008-2017. From 2006-2023 he was also President of the IVS Schaffhausen Chamber of Commerce.

He is involved in various charitable organizations, both personally and as Chairman.

Pascal Behr has been a member of the Board of Directors of BBC Group since 2012, representing the next generation of the Behr family.

In addition to his involvement with the BBC Group, he is also involved in other internationally active Swiss companies. His great passion for entrepreneurship and Start-ups also led him to found his own company in 2009, of which he has been CEO since then. Therefore, he has many years of experience and expertise in the operational and strategic management of internationally active companies.

Dr. Behr studied information technology and electrical engineering in Switzerland and the USA and completed his doctorate at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at ETH Zurich.

Lorenz Oberholzer is member of the Board of Directors of BBC Group. He is Vice Chairman of the charitable Theodor and Bernhard Dreifuss Foundation and represents its interests as a minority shareholder of BBC Group.

Lorenz Oberholzer has many years of experience in the real estate industry and is involved as a partner in the strategic and partly operational management of several development companies with real estate projects of varying size and complexity.

He holds a degree in economics and social sciences from the University of Fribourg.

Dr. Carsten Voigtländer is member of the Board of Directors of BBC Group as well as a member of the Supervisory Board and advisor of other listed, family-owned, private equity and start-up companies in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Sweden and the USA. He has many years of experience in the management of international market leaders in the energy and textile machinery sectors.

As CEO of the Vaillant Group, Oerlikon Textile and Oerlikon Neumag, he has successfully realigned companies in the areas of internationalization, digitalization, complexity reduction and sustainability.

Dr. Voigtländer holds a degree in mechanical engineering and a doctorate in thermodynamics from the Technical University of Braunschweig.

Jan Scheffler is member of the Board of Directors and was CEO of BBC Group until the end of 2023. In addition to his work as Board member, he is also Managing Director of a family office.

He combines many years of experience in strategy consulting, the management of medium-sized family-owned manufacturing companies and the development of young start-ups. Jan Scheffler has proven expertise in the development of corporate and sales strategies, process optimization and planning/controlling.

Dr. Scheffler holds a doctorate in economics from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).

Hansjörg Jaussi is member of the Board of Directors of BBC Group. Within BBC Group, he is responsible for the two Group Companies BBC Bircher Smart Access and BBC Bircher Automation.

Tha qualified electrical engineer has many years of management experience and proven expertise in the industrial sector. He worked for OC Oerlikon and the Saurer Group for many years and has a high level of expertise in turnaround, growth and change projects in Europe, Asia and the USA.
